My recent stay at Hotel David Whitney, a Marriott Autograph Collection property in downtown Detroit, was more than just a getaway, it was a true design experience that left a lasting impression on how I approach architecture and interiors. From the moment you enter the building, there is an undeniable sense of history and grandeur. The soaring ceilings, ornate stone details, dramatic arches, and carefully restored finishes immediately transport you to another era, while still feeling refined and relevant for modern living. The way natural light moves through the lobby highlights the craftsmanship throughout the space and reinforces how powerful well-considered architecture can be.
